Field Engineer

About the role

The Field Engineer position at Garney involves acting as a liaison between office engineers and the field teams, ensuring projects meet engineering specifications and supporting team success.

Responsibilities

• Ensure work meets engineering specifications
• Handle important documents and ensure correct material receipt and storage
• Survey and lay-out job sites
• Process and review shop drawings
• Update as-built documents
• Audit completed construction
• Complete daily and periodic report updates
• Coordinate subcontractor work

Requirements

• Minimum Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field
• Willingness to travel and work flexible hours
• Entry-level project management experience desired

Qualifications

• Strong communication skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
• Knowledge of construction practices and safety protocols

Skills

• Proficiency in surveying and layout techniques
• Experience with construction documentation and record keeping
• Excellent organizational and problem-solving skills

Base salary starts at $80,000
