Field Engineer
Focus People is recruiting for an experienced Field Engineer to join a growing IT services organization in the Atlanta area. This is a hands-on, client-facing technical role for someone who enjoys solving problems both onsite and remotely.
About the role
You’ll work directly in customer environments, handling everything from workstation deployments and network troubleshooting to escalated support issues and new-user setups. The strongest candidates will be technically sharp, comfortable working directly with customers, and able to shift priorities quickly when an urgent issue comes up.
Starting salary: $60,000, with flexibility based on experience, technical background, certifications, and MSP experience.
Schedule & Travel
This is a hybrid field position based in the Sandy Springs / Northwest Atlanta area.

Who will do well
This position is a good fit for someone who likes being the person customers can count on when technology stops working. You should be comfortable walking into an unfamiliar environment, asking good questions, troubleshooting methodically, and communicating clearly with both technical and nontechnical users. Because you’ll be working directly at customer locations, professionalism matters just as much as technical ability. You’ll also need to be comfortable shifting gears. A planned laptop deployment in the morning can quickly turn into troubleshooting a network issue or helping another customer remotely in the afternoon.
