Field Electrical Coordinator-OK

About the Role

The Electrical Coordinator completes the entire process of discipline-specific CWPs (Construction Work Packages) and IWPs (Installation Work Packages), including development, implementation, and tracking of progress for moderately complex projects and/or acts as a lead on projects. This role assists the Discipline Superintendent in identifying and resolving problems related to material deliveries and generates material takeoffs/bills of material for CWPs and IWPs.

Responsibilities

• Plan, develop, issue, and track progress of all CWPs and IWPs for basic projects.
• Participate in integrated planning sessions associated with IWPs.
• Produce discipline-specific IWPs for basic projects.
• Coordinate and collaborate with discipline superintendents and/or general foremen to ensure IWPs have field "buy-in" before release.
• Assist the Discipline Superintendent in verifying engineered quantities and coordinate Construction Contractor/craft commodity curves and Project Controls.
• Verify commodities installed and work completion status weekly (at minimum).
• Resolve problems or issues related to design information, schedule, change management, safety, and quality.
• Assist the responsible Field Engineer in interpreting Requests for Information (RFI) and manage documentation flow.
• Interface with the Discipline Field Engineer to provide constructible responses.
• Identify and resolve problems or issues related to material deliveries.
• Generate material takeoff/bill of material for CWPs and IWPs.
• Compile IWP turnover information returned from the field for basic projects.
• Review and monitor contractor/craft Look-Ahead Schedules for assigned work scope.
• Coordinate information with the Superintendent and Project Controls.
• Assist Discipline Superintendent in reviewing craft timesheets/charge codes.
• Maintain a daily log for site records.
• Support monitoring and reporting on completion of contractor/craft punch list activities.
• Support commercial recovery process (RFMP, WA, Backcharge, etc.).
• Actively promote the safety culture.
• Interface with Superintendent, general foreman, foreman, craft personnel, and vendor representatives.
• Monitor vendor representative (supplier) daily logs and review/approve their timesheets.
• Compile and maintain conformed-to-construction records.
• Direct site document control activities.
• Assist Field Quality Assurance Manager in performing inspections and verifications of tests.
• Support continuous improvement efforts.

Requirements

• All applicants must complete pre-employment onboarding requirements, which may include criminal/civil background checks, drug screens, and motor vehicle records searches.
• High School Diploma or equivalent preferred; 4-year degree preferred.
• Typically 4+ years of construction or construction management and/or design experience in similar facility construction.

Preferred Skills

• Knowledge of cost control, scheduling, engineering drawings, and other documents.
• Ability to perform material takeoffs and field estimates.
• Strong communication and organizational skills.
• Familiarity with safety regulations and contract administration.
• Problem-solving and supervisory skills.
• Understanding of craft activities/dynamics.
• Advanced Excel skills.
• Ability to deal with ambiguity.

Work Environment & Physical Demands

• Lift and carry heavy items weighing up to 50 pounds.
• Stand, kneel, bend, stoop, move, and walk long distances in confined, cluttered, or uneven areas.
• Full range of motion and flexibility consistent with job duties.
• Repetitive movement and work above 5 feet in height.
• Climb and maintain balance on steel frameworks, stairs, ladders, and scaffolds.
• Work up to a 12-hour shift in varying temperature extremes and outdoor conditions (hot, cold, dust, wind, snow, rain).
• Work in cramped spaces, awkward positions, and bright or low-lighting conditions.
• Exposure to distracting or uncomfortable sounds and noise levels.
• Work around hazardous equipment.
• This position is considered safety-sensitive.
