Field Crew Supervisor

About the role

Samara Restoration is a Humboldt County-based nursery and landscape contracting business specializing in ecological restoration and California native plant horticulture. We are seeking a highly motivated Field Crew Supervisor to support ecological restoration and residential/commercial native plant landscape projects.

Responsibilities

• Assist project managers with field coordination
• Supervise field crew technicians
• Manage scheduling for projects
• Handle project documentation
• Procure materials
• Coordinate transportation
• Manage tools and equipment
• Communicate with clients

Requirements

• Minimum of a bachelor’s degree in plant sciences, biology, botany, environmental science, ecological restoration, wildlife, horticulture, or related field
• OR at least 3 years’ experience in restoration or landscape construction
• Preference for candidates with work experience in ecological restoration, native plants, horticulture, gardening, and/or construction
• Preference for individuals with a career interest in landscaping and/or ecological restoration
• Experience with personnel supervision is desirable
• Motivation to advance in the field
