Responsibilities
- Assist in preparing change orders, including time extensions, and maintain the change order log.
- Distribute executed change orders to company and subcontractor field personnel.
- Prepare cost control budget adjustments and execute them in a timely manner.
- Support budgeting and cost control processes to ensure project completion within the approved budget.
- Administer the project quality management plan and maintain consistent processes, policies, and objectives.
- Participate in risk management, including identification, analysis, response planning, and monitoring.
- Assist in developing and integrating a procurement schedule with the project CPM schedule.
- Ensure processes for timely project completion are followed and the team has necessary information.
- Support execution of the project management plan (PMP).
- Develop an understanding of prime contracts, subcontracts, purchase orders, and contract documents.
- Perform project scope activities to ensure successful project completion.
- Manage generation, collection, distribution, storage, and retrieval of meeting agendas, RFIs, and daily reports.
- Maintain "As-built" contract documents.
- Compile close-out requirements, including operation and maintenance manuals and warranties.
- Participate in takeoffs for concrete, asphalt, earthwork, and utilities.
- Procure necessary materials and equipment.
- Coordinate and review submittals for compliance with contract documents.
- Implement elements of procurement and material management plans.
- Support self-development and the development of other team members.
Requirements
- 2+ years of similar construction experience.
- Associate’s degree preferred or equivalent combination of training or related experience.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Suite programs and basic computer skills.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to wear personal protective equipment (steel-toed shoes, gloves, safety glasses, hearing protection, hardhat, vest, etc.).
- Frequent reaching above shoulder heights and below the waist.
- Occasional stooping, kneeling, or bending.
- Limited use of telephone, computer systems, email, or other electronic devices for communication.
- Must comply with all safety standards and procedures.
- Occasional climbing of stairs, ladders, etc.
- Frequent use of hands to grasp, lift, handle, carry, or feel objects.
- Frequent interaction with people during a shift.
- Occasional lifting, pushing, or pulling of objects.
- Sitting, standing, or walking short distances for the entire duration of a shift.
Safety-Sensitive: This role includes tasks that could affect the safety and health of the employee or others, such as operating equipment, handling hazardous materials, or working with power tools.
