This role works both indoors and outdoors at various customer sites, assisting the team to ensure safety standards, package materials according to regulations, and maintain updated documentation. Responsibilities include hazardous, non-hazardous, and universal waste removal services.

Responsibilities

  • Collect, characterize, and package customer waste for final disposal.
  • Assist in safely transporting customer waste in accordance with all Federal regulations.
  • Support customer paperwork, including Packing Lists, Waste Labels, and Shipping Documents.
  • Provide onsite support at customer locations, such as inspections, waste collection, chemical dispensing, inventory management, housekeeping, and outbound waste shipments.
  • Collaborate with the team to identify suspected contents via internal sampling procedures and categorization tests (e.g., "Field Screens").

Requirements

  • Basic knowledge of chemistry principles and practices.
  • Valid driver’s license and ability to maintain an MVR that meets Company policy standards.
  • Ability to pass Respirator fit test certification.
  • Ability to regularly lift or move objects weighing 40 lbs or more.
  • Currently hold a 40-hour HAZWOPER (with 8-hour refresher) or ability to pass the course upon hire.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in chemistry, environmental science, or equivalent experience.
  • Understanding of Federal and State Environmental and Transportation regulations.
  • DOT and RCRA experience preferred.
  • Ability to perform proper waste sampling, create accurate waste characterizations and profiles, and address difficult situations constructively.
  • Proficiency in using computer technology for communication, data gathering, and reporting.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and basic communication skills to interpret technical procedures, governmental regulations, and respond to inquiries.
  • Positive attitude and professionalism when interacting with customers and team members.
  • Willingness to travel to customer locations.

Pay

The pay range for this position is $29.15 to $40.10 per hour, reflecting the minimum wage in multiple jurisdictions. The actual range will depend on the locality in which you are hired.
