About the Role

The Field Canvassing Team Lead is responsible for hiring, training, and developing a team of Field Canvassers to build Leaf Home brand awareness in pre-selected, high-probability neighborhoods.

Responsibilities

  • Drive canvassing-based marketing initiatives to generate sales leads for sales representative follow-up.
  • Identify, schedule, and plan route calendars (including evenings and weekends) for a team of Field Canvassers in an assigned territory.
  • Manage a multi-team territory to generate customer lead generation.
  • Recruit, hire, train, and develop a team of Field Canvassers, creating accountability through established marketing goals and KPIs.
  • Manage permit requirements in assigned territories to ensure compliance with local ordinances and regulations.
  • Collaborate with the Field Canvassing Manager and local Operations and Installation Managers to grow brand presence within the local market.
  • Track and report canvassing lead generation metrics to evaluate performance and ROI of the territory.
  • Exceed sales lead quotas based on established KPIs.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • 2+ years of management experience in field canvassing for the direct-to-consumer industry.
  • Experience in customer service and/or sales.
  • Experience in lead generation, experiential marketing, and/or field canvassing.
  • Experience recruiting, onboarding, and training marketing, canvassing, and/or event staff.
  • Knowledge of current best practices and new strategies for canvassing and direct-to-consumer field marketing.
  • Ability to work outside in varying climates.
  • Ability to work evenings and/or weekends.
  • Ability to juggle various work activities and shift attention between tasks to meet stakeholder demands without “dropping the ball.”
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-energy, team-oriented environment with a “roll up your sleeves” and “win every day” mentality.
  • Self-driven with a focus on accountability and responsibility in accomplishing goals.
  • Detail-oriented with a focus on efficiency and effectiveness in task completion.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills for internal and external stakeholders.
  • Strong problem-solving skills, including the ability to logically connect ideas, evaluate arguments, and identify inconsistencies.
  • Ability to provide timely and empathetic service through all communication channels.
  • Legally authorized to work in the country of employment without sponsorship for employment visa status (e.g., H1B status).

Preferred Qualifications

  • Previous door-to-door canvassing experience.
  • Home improvement knowledge and/or experience.

Travel & Physical Requirements

  • Local travel required.
  • Additional hours may be required (exempt position).
  • Work is performed in a field office, manufacturing, or construction environment, including outside in varying temperatures and climates.
  • Sedentary work: exerting up to 10 pounds of force occasionally and/or negligible force frequently to lift, carry, push, pull, or move objects.
