About the role
The HMC Field Assessor and Trainer will play a critical role in asset preservation and ensure the consistent delivery of exceptional guest service and operational excellence across all HMC managed hotels.
Primary Duties
- Use the HMC App to conduct assessments of the physical condition of the property, documenting their findings through notes and photographs.
- Provide their findings on property conditions to assist in identifying future maintenance and CAPEX needs.
- Review the operations of the property and staff (using the Field Assessor and Trainer Checklist) and identify areas for improvement and additional training or review.
- Review and train deficiencies identified from the FAT Checklist during the site visit.
- Ensure that all employees receive mandatory training on topics such as safety, security, HMC Clean & Safe, and brand compliance.
- Conduct training sessions to ensure employees are trained in all operational procedures, service standards, and safety protocols.
- Share findings and FAT Checklist (post visit) with HMC Executives, District Managers, and RDO’s to identify training needs, gaps, and opportunities for improvement.
- If something critical or time sensitive is identified while at site, notify RDO, DM or HMC executive leadership immediately.
- Review social media and Medallia scores to identify additional gaps in training and execution of HMC processes and procedures.
- Utilize various training methods and techniques, including workshops, role-playing, e-learning modules, and on-the-job training, to effectively deliver content to diverse audiences.
- Provide ongoing support and coaching to hotel staff to reinforce learning objectives and drive continuous improvement.
- Stay current with industry trends, best practices, and emerging technologies in hospitality training and incorporate relevant updates into training programs.
- Serve as a HMC ambassador by exemplifying our company values, culture, and service philosophy in all interactions with employees, stakeholders, and hotel brands.
- Travel to different hotel properties to conduct property assessments, conduct training sessions, provide support, and ensure consistent implementation of training initiatives.
- Conduct continuous training visits before and after new hotel openings, following acquisitions, and for underperforming hotels.
- This ensures that employees are well-prepared, motivated, and equipped to deliver exceptional service and experiences to guests.
- Conduct Asset Preservation checklists at all properties.
- Other Duties as Assigned.
Physical Requirements
Frequently required to sit, stand, talk and hear. This position requires the ability to occasionally lift office products and supplies, up to 20 pounds.
