Field Applications Engineer (TEM)

About the role

This role will drive marketing initiatives focused on growth, customer acquisition, brand performance, and measurable demand creation. You will collaborate with analytics, product, creative, and commercial teams to turn market insights into scalable campaigns, testing strategies, and performance improvements. The position offers the opportunity to directly influence customer engagement, conversion performance, and revenue growth within a life sciences environment.

Responsibilities

• Provide on-site professional technical support primarily in Hillsboro, Oregon
• Develop innovative solutions to customer challenges
• Support tool acceptance and new technologies in coordination with product and service teams
• Build positive relationships with customers as a technical partner
• Coordinate with internal product, engineering, marketing, and account teams on product development
• Provide detailed technical feedback to product teams regarding customer needs and product performance

Requirements

• Undergraduate degree in Physics, Materials Science, Chemistry, or related field; advanced degree preferred
• 5+ years of hands-on experience with Transmission Electron Microscopy (TEM) equipment and applications
• Expert level understanding of semiconductor processing, statistical process control, device physics, and failure analysis techniques
• Experience with coding/scripting (C#, Python, MATLAB, etc.) is a plus
• Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to nurture productive customer relationships
• Strong problem-analysis and solving abilities
• Willingness to travel domestically and internationally (up to 25%) with a valid passport

Pay

$100,000 – $130,000 annually
