Key Responsibilities
- Serve as the primary technical liaison to customers during product selection, integration, and validation of interconnect and electronic solutions.
- Provide on-site and remote application engineering support, including system-level troubleshooting, failure analysis, and performance tuning for electrical and electronic systems.
- Collaborate with sales, product management, and R&D to translate customer requirements into practical application recommendations and product improvements.
- Develop application notes, test plans, reference designs, and technical documentation to accelerate customer adoption of products.
- Conduct product demonstrations, training sessions, and workshops for customers and internal teams to communicate best practices for interconnect and electronic applications.
- Gather and report field feedback, market requirements, and competitive intelligence to influence product roadmap and development priorities.
- Support qualification and certification activities by creating test procedures, participating in EMC and reliability testing, and documenting results.
- Maintain strong relationships with key customers through regular technical reviews, site visits, and proactive support to ensure long-term satisfaction and success.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, or a related technical field; Masters preferred.
- 5+ years of experience in application or field engineering with a focus on electronic systems and interconnect technologies.
- Strong understanding of electrical and electronic principles, signal integrity, connector/interconnect design, and system-level integration.
- Proven experience with application engineering tasks including troubleshooting, test plan development, and failure analysis.
- Strong communication and presentation skills with experience delivering technical training and customer-facing demonstrations.
- Ability to travel regularly to customer sites and work hands-on in laboratory and field environments.
- Familiarity with industry standards, EMC testing, and qualification processes for interconnects and electronic components.
- Self-motivated, customer-focused, and able to collaborate effectively across cross-functional teams.
