Field Application Engineer (New College Grad, Summer 2026 Start)
About the role
A Field Application Engineer (FAE) is needed for a full-time position starting in Summer 2026. The position is exempt and falls under the Business Function of Field Applications Engineering Sales. The work location is at the Milpitas Office.
Responsibilities
- Manage technical relationships with assigned customers, serving as their primary technical contact.
- Lead product qualification processes, including gathering customer specifications, arranging samples, addressing technical issues, and communicating effectively with customers.
- Provide both on-site and remote technical support for troubleshooting and problem-solving.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure customer satisfaction and address their needs and priorities.
- Represent and advocate for customer needs and priorities to internal teams.
Requirements
- Minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or Electrical Engineering with a minimum GPA of 3.5.
- Desire to develop a career in the storage industry.
- Strong data analysis skills.
- Effective communication and customer-facing skills.
- Team player with basic understanding of computer hardware and software architectures.
- Familiarity with Windows and/or Linux systems.

Compensation & Benefits Details
The salary range for this position is $82,100.00 - $139,600.00. The actual salary will be determined based on several factors including but not limited to (1) relevant education; qualifications; certifications; and experience; (2) skills, ability, knowledge of the job; (3) performance, contribution and results; (4) geographic location; (5) shift; (6) internal and external equity; and (7) business and organizational needs. You will be eligible to participate in Sandisk's Short-Term Incentive (STI) Plan, which provides incentive awards based on Company and individual performance. Depending on your role and your performance, you may be eligible to participate in our annual Long-Term Incentive (LTI) program, which consists of restricted stock units (RSUs) or cash equivalents, pursuant to the terms of the LTI plan. Please note that not all roles are eligible to participate in the LTI program, and not all roles are eligible for equity under the LTI plan. RSU awards are also available to eligible new hires, subject to Sandisk's Standard Terms and Conditions for Restricted Stock Unit Awards.
