Field Application Engineer
About the role
The Field Application Engineer at Amphenol Pcd acts as the primary technical liaison for key strategic customers, providing expert technical guidance and support to ensure customers select, specify, and implement the appropriate interconnection solutions for their hardware designs. This role collaborates closely with the sales team, product marketing, and engineering departments to drive successful product integration and foster long-term customer relationships.
Responsibilities
- Deliver technical product presentations and demonstrations to promote the company's interconnect solutions to prospective and existing customers
- Provide Design for Manufacturability (DFM) support by collaborating with customers during the design phase to ensure optimal product integration and performance
- Support a diverse portfolio of strategic key accounts across the United States, with travel commitments ranging from 25% to 30%
- Handle multiple priorities in a fast-paced, results-oriented environment
- Additional duties as assigned
Requirements
- 3+ years marketing experience
- Self-motivated with a positive attitude and strong work ethic
- Strong technical aptitude and/or engineering degree
- Excellent organizational skills with strong attention to detail
- Strong time management, urgency, and follow-through capabilities
- Effective interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications
Qualifications
- Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering (BSME) or equivalent relevant work experience
Skills
- Experience with rotating assemblies, rotary joints or slip rings
- Exposure to RF, fiber optics and waveguides
Benefits
Base salary range for this role is $82,000 USD - $92,000 USD, plus bonus. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. PCD considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate's work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
