Field Application Engineer - A&D
About the role
The Field Applications Engineer supports customers' PCB design and manufacturing groups, focusing on reducing design cycle time and improving quality.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Provide DFM and DFV support to customer engineering and design teams for new designs and existing design improvements
- Collaborate with customer designers to improve design packages and identify manufacturability and reliability issues
- Support drawing reviews and update customer groups on TTM capabilities and technology roadmap
- Facilitate customer needs with TTM engineering and operations
- Work with pre-production teams to address hold issues and provide manufacturing insights
- Establish technical contacts and build relationships with customers
- Create and conduct technical presentations with the sales team
- Interface with TTM's Sales, Development, Pre-Production Engineering departments
Essential Skills and Knowledge
- Develop a thorough understanding of TTM manufacturing and design capabilities
- Strong written and oral communication skills
- Intermediate level skills in PCB CAM software, drawing interpretation, and stack-up tools
- Experience in PCB manufacturing and signal integrity
- Effective public speaking and presentation skills
Education and Experience
- Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or related discipline preferred
- 5-7+ years of experience in engineering activities related to PCB manufacturing
