Field Adjuster - Tri-County (Local Only)

About the role

The Field Adjuster’s primary responsibility is to manage, investigate, and resolve assigned property claims. This position is dedicated to providing customer service to policyholders by delivering fair and timely claim resolutions. The Field Adjuster understands insureds’ needs and provides advice to deliver appropriate solutions.

Please note: the field adjuster must live in the designated area or be willing to relocate.

Responsibilities

• Communicate with independent adjusters and other experts to gather information on claims
• Negotiate and explain settlements with the insured and/or their representatives
• Answer incoming telephone calls from agents, public adjusters, insureds, and other vendors
• Review and analyze written information
• Demonstrate knowledge of multiple policy forms
• Prepare reports based on the policy language
• Prepare detailed estimates of the damage
• Use estimating software effectively
• Rely on training and guidance from management to plan and accomplish goals
• Write property estimates using Xactimate or related software
• Climb on ladders to inspect roofs
• Carry a 40-pound ladder
• Support catastrophe operations as needed, including working extended hours during designated CAT events

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED
• 2+ years of property field adjusting experience
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
• Must possess an Insurance License; additional state licenses as required by management
• Ability to work independently as well as a team player
• Ability to multi-task
• Computer savvy with basic calculator skills
• Working knowledge of ISO policies
• Valid driver’s license
• Vehicle provided at Company discretion
• Bilingual preferred
