What's in Store We are on the lookout for an experienced Field Adjuster - Property (Virginia/Maryland) to join our growing team. You will be responsible for handling residential and commercial property losses, including inspections, scope review, damage assessment, estimate support, and related file documentation. This role is ideal for a field professional who can investigate losses, inspect sites, document findings, evaluate damages and exposures, and communicate effectively with insureds, claimants, carriers, clients, vendors, and internal stakeholders. The successful candidate will bring strong technical judgment, professional communication, and the ability to manage field assignments efficiently and accurately. Compensation: This is a 100% commission‑based role with earnings paid at 42% commission, supported by a bi-weekly draw of $1500.00. Key Responsibilities Conduct on-site inspections and field investigations for assigned claimsInspect property, structures, vehicles, equipment, or accident scenes as required by assignmentDocument damages, conditions, causation indicators, and other relevant findings through notes, measurements, photographs, and diagramsEvaluate loss facts and support investigation of coverage, liability, damages, and exposureObtain statements from insureds, claimants, witnesses, or other involved parties when neededPrepare timely, accurate, and well-documented reports for clients and internal stakeholdersCoordinate with examiners, managers, carriers, policyholders, vendors, attorneys, and other claim participants as neededMaintain complete file documentation in accordance with company standards, client instructions, and regulatory expectationsEscalate complex issues, large-loss exposures, litigation indicators, or specialty claim concerns appropriatelyManage field assignments within service expectations, turnaround times, and quality standardsTravel throughout the assigned VA/MD territory as required Skills, knowledge & expertise 3+ years of field adjusting or related claims experienceActive adjuster license(s) and the ability to obtain additional licenses based on territoryValid driver’s license and reliable transportationAbility to travel locally and regionally within the assigned territoryStrong documentation, organizational, and time-management skillsComfort using claims platforms, mobile documentation tools, and estimating/reporting systemsProficiency in XactimateExperience handling field property claimsExperience working with Xactimate and Xactware productsExperience with third party resources used in property estimating such as Eagleview, Hover, etcAbility to work independently while managing deadlines, territory activity, and service expectationsStrong investigative mindset with high attention to detailStrong written and verbal communication skillsProfessional presence when interacting with insureds, claimants, attorneys, vendors, and carrier representativesAbility to manage multiple assignments and shifting priorities in a fast-paced field environment Equal Employment Opportunity & Legal Notices Benefits At Davies North America, we are dedicated to supporting the well‑being and future of our qualifying employees.
