About the role
The Field Access Manager is a key member of the Therapeutic Dermatology Business Unit, responsible for optimizing the patient and account experience by resolving access challenges, educating stakeholders, and supporting strategic initiatives in the assigned geographic territory.
Responsibilities
- Optimize the experience for both patients and accounts by identifying, troubleshooting, and resolving access challenges for patients prescribed Galderma products.
- Educate and support accounts by delivering information on Galderma’s patient support services and product access to address complex reimbursement challenges.
- Support the execution of strategic and tactical initiatives within the assigned geographic region, collaborating with the Regional Sales Manager and 5-7 Account Managers.
- Adhere to compliance business rules to ensure patient confidentiality and access to care.
- Serve as the escalation point for field-based access issues for all Sales Managers in the assigned region.
- Partner with Sales Team, Market Access, and Patient Services colleagues to enhance the patient and practice experience.
- Collaborate with external stakeholders such as Specialty Pharmacies and HUB services to ensure a seamless patient journey.
- Act as a subject matter expert to reduce non-clinical barriers to patient access to therapy.
- Educate dermatology customers on Galderma’s patient services offerings through meetings, business reviews, and educational programs.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field.
- 5+ years of experience in the pharmaceutical industry; dermatology and/or biologic experience preferred.
- 2+ years in a reimbursement or access role supporting prescription-based products.
- Proven experience successfully launching new-to-market specialty products and resolving difficult access challenges.
- Understanding of utilization management tools, prior authorizations, and appeals.
- Account management experience preferred.
- Cross-functional experience with a proven track record of collaboration and coordination.
- Exceptional communication and presentation skills, with the ability to articulate a point of view succinctly and effectively.
- Comprehensive analytical and strategic thinking skills.
- Ability to work effectively and with a sense of urgency, demonstrating adaptability, resilience, and tenacity.
- Proficiency in English and MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
