About the role

Join our team as a Field Acceptance Testing Technician, where you'll play a crucial role in ensuring the quality and compliance of our electrical products. You'll be responsible for conducting thorough inspections and tests on electrical components, subassemblies, and finished goods, ranging from intricate control cabinets to large-scale modular buildings.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct ongoing inspections of all electrical installations, subassemblies, and finished goods to ensure compliance with standards.
  • Execute audits of electrical assembly, control wiring, power distribution wiring, and commercial wiring installation processes.
  • Assist in or prepare testing and commissioning reports to document product performance and compliance.
  • Document quality standards and specifications related to electrical installations and assembly, and collaborate on training.
  • Ensure all work is executed per approved standards and drawings, identifying and addressing deviations.
  • Document material non-conformances found during inspections of work in process, finished goods, and receiving.
  • Collaborate with safety, engineering, and manufacturing teams to improve design for manufacturing and reduce inefficiencies.
  • Ensure product designs comply with regulatory, commercial code, customer specifications, and engineering standards.
  • Aid in the execution of the tool calibration program, focusing on electrical test equipment.
  • Perform other job duties as assigned to support the quality assurance process.

Qualifications

  • Journeyman Electrician with 5+ years of industry experience or 7+ years in electrical assembly/inspection.
  • Previous exposure to low and medium voltage electrical installations.
  • Working knowledge of IEC, NEC, NFPA, IEEE, and NETA testing specifications.
  • Ability to identify electrical components, hardware, and equipment.
  • Ability to read, understand, and trace electrical schematics.
  • Basic computer skills with Word/Excel experience; scheduling software knowledge is a plus.
  • Must pass background check and drug/alcohol testing due to safety-sensitive position.
  • Up to 100% travel depending on project needs, including overnight stays.

  • Travel: Up to 100% travel depending on project needs, including overnight stays
