Fiberglass Roller

About the role

Set up and operate machines to cut, bend, straighten, and form fiberglass using free-form techniques to meet product specifications. This specialist position works with unconventional materials and requires specialized skills, including the ability to read blueprints, make adjustments for materials used, and verify dimensional requirements. Quality of the final product depends heavily on the operator's extensive judgment; errors can lead to substantial costs. You will also unload and transfer materials to storage areas using overhead cranes or forklifts, and perform other duties as assigned.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate machines for cutting, bending, straightening, and forming fiberglass using free-form techniques.
• Read and interpret blueprints to ensure product specifications are met.
• Make adjustments for materials used and verify dimensional requirements.
• Transfer materials to storage areas using overhead cranes or forklifts.
• Apply specialized knowledge and judgment to ensure high-quality final products.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Accurate measurement capabilities.
• Ability to use specialty hand and electric tools.
• 1-2 years of related manufacturing or construction experience is preferred.
• Ability to work near water/riverfront environments.
