Responsibilities

• Test and troubleshoot the continuity of fiber optic networks.
• Operate all testing equipment and resolve challenges common to fiber optic networks.
• Prepare fiber splice enclosures such as Tyco, CommScope, Corning, etc.
• Utilize fusion splicer, test equipment OTDR (Optical Time-Domain Reflectometer) 1310, 1550, DWDM, CWDM, 945 OLTS, Max Tester, and Power meter.
• Apply fiber engineering knowledge of fiber design, reading documentation, understanding of light levels, and dB loss.
• Work in outdoor utility construction sites.

Requirements

• Safety is a part of your day-to-day.
• Track record of completing work with a high level of quality.
• Knack for figuring out hard problems and a hands-on approach to work.
• Looking for long-term projects and enjoy working with your team.
• At least 3-5 years of fiber splicing and troubleshooting experience.
• Comfortable working on a ladder or a bucket truck.
• Flexible and enjoy a variety of shifts with overtime.

Pay

$75,000–$125,000 annually.
