About the role

This role supports Centerline's expansion into the Texas area, focusing on ISP and aerial fiber builds. The ideal candidate is a technically skilled, customer-focused individual ready to grow with a professional team.

Responsibilities

• A solid understanding of multiple ISP splice enclosures by various manufacturers.
• Undergo additional training or immersion into specific customers' needs and demonstrate responsibility for those needs.
• Show advanced cable prep, single and mass fusion splicing, and termination abilities.
• Demonstrate excellent fiber optic test and troubleshooting skills, including fiber characterization, iOLM, and advanced documentation and deliverable responsibilities.
• Show strong teamwork and training abilities, as well as basic crew/project management responsibilities.
• Have a basic understanding and abilities to negotiate ARC/GIS, Telvent, and Trimble software.
• Be able to work independently, make judgments, and perform repetitive tasks.
• Have regular contact with co-workers and customers.
• Take and pass OSHA-10 Certification within 90 days of start date.
• Pass and continue to pass DOT Physical, drug screen, and background check.
• Train on site for four weeks within 90 days of start date.
• Nice to have: Ribbon Splicing Connectorization experience.

Requirements

• Experience as a Fiber Optic Splice Technician.
• High school graduate or equivalent.
• Ability to perceive differences in colors.
• Valid driver’s license.
• Basic computer functions and ability to learn new programs.
• Independent judgment and performance of repetitive tasks.
• Regular contact with co-workers and customers.
• Complete entry-level safety training within 90 days of starting.
• Extensive travel required.
• Overtime should generally be expected.
• Local to the Texas area and must train on site for four weeks.
