About the role

The Fiber Optic Operator Level 1 is responsible for installing and maintaining fiber optic cables in various environments. This role requires strong technical skills and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Install and maintain fiber optic cables in various environments
• Perform routine inspections and repairs on installed cables
• Use specialized tools and equipment to ensure cable integrity
• Work closely with other technicians and engineers to resolve issues

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent
• At least 1 year of related work experience in telecommunications or similar field
• Valid driver’s license
• Ability to work in a variety of weather conditions

Qualifications

• Strong mechanical aptitude
• Good problem-solving skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Knowledge of fiber optics and telecommunications systems
