About the role

Some people were never meant to sit behind a desk. If you'd rather be outside than inside, enjoy working with your hands, and have a first instinct to figure out how something works instead of calling someone else, you might be exactly who we're looking for.

At DCOMM, we build and maintain the broadband networks that keep people connected to work, school, gaming, streaming, and just about everything else in life. No experience? That's okay. We'll teach you the technical skills. You bring the work ethic, the attitude, and the willingness to learn.

What We Provide

  • Paid training
  • Company vehicle
  • Tools
  • Uniforms
  • Safety equipment
  • Ongoing coaching
  • Opportunities to grow into leadership

Responsibilities

No two days are exactly alike. One day you'll be installing high-speed internet. The next you'll be tracking down a service issue and fixing it. You'll work with fiber optics, coax cable, ladders, tools, technology, and customers who are counting on you to solve their problem.

Requirements

  • A valid driver's license with a good driving record
  • Ability to climb ladders (up to 28 feet)
  • Comfortable working outside in the Texas weather
  • Able to lift, carry, and move equipment throughout the day
  • Positive attitude and willingness to learn

Why People Stay

This isn't just another hourly job. Many of our leaders started in the field. The longer you’re here, the more you’ll learn. The more you learn, the faster you’ll become. The faster you become, the more money you’ll have the potential to make. The average Technician for us averages just over $62,000 / yr.

If you're dependable, work hard, and continue learning, there are opportunities to move into roles like:

  • Trainer
  • Field Supervisor
  • Operations Leadership
