About the role

Kearney & Company is currently seeking a FIAR Logistics Modernization Senior Consultant to provide strategic advisory and expert support to HQMC Installations & Logistics (I&L). This position will be responsible for but not limited to: Supporting our clients as they modernize their IT systems to ensure compliance with federal IT audit and cyber security standards.

Responsibilities

  • Lead overall client IT audit readiness over IT General and automated applications controls.
  • Audit readiness strategic planning, in coordination with systems integration support and functional logistics processes
  • Anticipate auditor or assessor requests, identify appropriate documentation in coordination with control owners, and design processes and target system artifacts for compliance
  • Organize, monitor, and follow up on delayed audit finding remediation, communicate delays and risks with management
  • Perform review of Plans of Action and Milestones (POA&Ms) to determine sufficiency to remediate findings
  • Perform independent verification and validation (IV&V) of legacy system audit finding remediation and clearly document results for management review
  • Lead the development of detailed, time-phased modernization plans with actionable steps, key milestones, and measurable performance indicators.
  • Analyze opportunities to implement automation across the audit controls associated with business processes

Qualifications

  • Minimum 10 years of progressive experience supporting engagements in business consulting, process improvement, strategy, financial management, or a related field, including 4 years of experience managing such efforts.
  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution
  • Experience in managing large, complex engagements in support of State or Federal Government agencies or large, complex companies employees.
  • Experience with OMB A-123, OIG FISCAM, or OIG FISMA projects
  • Prior experience with leading IT audits or IT audit readiness projects
  • At least five years of federal government experience
  • Professional communication skills and clear business writing
  • PMP Certification
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. security clearance (requires U.S. citizenship)

Preferred Qualifications

  • Demonstrated FIAR experience within DoD/USMC environments and federal logistics business processes
  • Proven ability to develop COAs, strategic roadmaps, and risk informed execution plans for complex modernization initiatives

Pay

The expected salary range for this position is between $103,000 and $180,000. This range is representative of base pay only and does not include straight time pay for hours worked over 40 per week, company contributions towards paid benefits, and/or bonuses.
