About the Role
We are seeking creative and dynamic licensed therapists/clinicians to join our children’s department at the Preferred Center for Children and Families in Brick, NJ. This fee-for-service position offers a collaborative environment with excellent training opportunities and room for growth. Clinicians will address individual needs through assessment, evaluation, referral, follow-up services, and therapy (individual, group, and family) in various settings, including offices, residences, and community sites.
Responsibilities
- Conduct clinical assessments, formulate diagnoses, and develop preliminary treatment plans that:
- Are congruent with assessment content.
- Comply with organizational policy and include a mental status examination, provisional multi-axial diagnosis, and preliminary treatment plan with recommendations.
- Address immediate, emergent client needs and identify special treatment needs or high-risk referrals.
- Provide individual, family, and group therapy to an assigned caseload, ensuring:
- Progress notes address treatment goals, objectives, and changes in mental health status.
- Medical records are updated within 24 hours for each face-to-face contact, telephone calls, and collateral contacts.
- Provide case management services.
Qualifications
- Master’s Degree in Social Work or mental health counseling.
- Clinical licensure as one of the following, with 2 years of related experience:
- LAC or LSW (with 2 years working with children).
- LCSW or LPC (with 2 years working with children).
- Substance Abuse certification, Trauma certification, and/or Bilingual (English/Spanish) are a plus.
Pay
Starting rate: $41.90–$51.50 per session, depending on licensure. Rate increases by $10.00 per session for clinicians seeing over 10 clients per pay period.
