About the Role
We are seeking creative and dynamic licensed therapists/clinicians to join our children’s department at the Preferred Center for Children and Families. This role is ideal for professionals passionate about trauma-informed care who thrive in a collaborative environment with excellent training opportunities and room for growth.
Responsibilities
- Conduct clinical assessments, formulate diagnoses, and develop preliminary treatment plans that are congruent with assessment content.
- Complete thorough assessments in compliance with organizational policy, including mental status examinations, provisional multi-axial diagnoses, and preliminary treatment plans with recommendations for ongoing treatment.
- Address immediate, emergent needs of clients and identify special treatment needs or referrals for high-risk clients.
- Provide individual, family, and group therapy to an assigned caseload.
- Document progress notes addressing treatment goals, objectives, and changes in mental health status within 24 hours for each face-to-face contact, telephone calls, and collateral contacts.
- Provide case management services.
- Deliver program services in various locations, including traditional offices, residences, and community resource sites, to meet the needs of persons served.
Qualifications
- Master’s Degree in Social Work or mental health counseling.
- Clinical licensure as LAC, LSW, LCSW, or LPC with at least 2 years of experience.
- Experience working with children (required for LCSW and LPC).
- Substance Abuse certification, Trauma certification, and Bilingual (English/Spanish) are a plus.
Pay
Starting rate: $41.90–$51.50 per session, depending on licensure. Rate increases by $10.00 per session for clinicians seeing over 10 clients per pay period.
