Job Summary

This role supports the Federal Energy Solutions group's contractor oversight and contract controls program. It ensures compliance, performance, and alignment with federal and corporate standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support the development and execution of contract controls and contractor management strategies.
  • Manage multiple concurrent initiatives to improve efficiency and effectiveness within the Federal Energy Solutions Group.
  • Direct matrixed teams across engineering, construction, procurement, legal, and finance to implement process improvements and ensure seamless contractor integration.
  • Oversee the development and maintenance of standardized methodologies, templates, and tools for contract administration, data reporting, document collaboration, and regulatory support.
  • Oversee contractor-provided schedules, and proffer alternatives to prevent or regain schedule slippage.
  • Manage and track schedules, provide impact analysis of new or delayed project activities, and advise leadership on options to ensure project completion on time and on budget.
  • Collaborate with project management, site staff, and contractors, compiling and analyzing data to mitigate current or future project delays impacting the critical path of the project.
  • Provide scheduling expertise and analysis to support change order negotiations, contract development, and bid evaluation process.
  • Develop and maintain scheduling practices and procedures, and instruction and training of Primavera Project Planner (P6) and MS Project.
  • Serve as lead for P6 system architecture and database administration.
  • Build, maintain, and enforce global structures and procedures.
  • Verify and document contractor’s progress.
  • Present recommendations to senior management and coordinate implementation as required.
  • Consult with Design, Engineering, PMO, and Contractors, developing and maintaining performance metrics such as progress curves, and project milestones.
  • Develop automated methods and systems to track workflow and performance for business processes.

Required Knowledge, Skills, Abilities & Experience

  • 7-8+ years of experience in construction scheduling.
  • Experience in resource loading schedules, contractor-generated baseline schedules, time impact analyses, earned value management reporting, and monthly actual to plan variance analysis.
  • Proficiency with (P6), MS Project, Excel, and Word.
  • Ability to read engineering and construction drawings a plus.
  • General construction contract knowledge.
  • Understanding of work-scopes, sequencing, and construction.
  • Experience managing P6 global and project-level user access, and permissions for dash-boarding.
  • Ability to convert MS Project to Primavera P6.
  • Strong interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work with multiple project teams in a matrixed organization.

Education Requirements

Education Level: Degree or an equivalent combination of education and demonstrated related experience may be accepted in lieu of preferred level of education: Bachelor preferred in Business Administration.
