Fertigation Technician

About the role

The Fertigation Technician is responsible for managing the application of fertilizers and other nutrients through irrigation systems to optimize crop growth and yield.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement fertigation plans based on soil tests and crop needs.
• Monitor and adjust fertigation rates and timings as needed.
• Ensure compliance with all environmental regulations and safety protocols.
• Collaborate with agronomists and other technicians to optimize crop performance.
• Perform routine maintenance on fertigation equipment and irrigation systems.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Agriculture, Horticulture, or related field.
• Minimum 2 years of experience in fertigation or similar agricultural roles.
• Valid driver’s license and access to reliable transportation.
• Strong understanding of crop physiology and soil science.
• Proficiency in using fertigation software and irrigation management tools.

Pay

Salary range: $50,000 - $60,000 annually.

Schedule

Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM.
