Fellowship Opportunity in Transplant Nephrology

About the role

One‑year advanced transplant nephrology fellowship in an ACGME‑accredited program focused on developing expertise in managing kidney transplant patients, including candidate and donor selection, perioperative care, and post‑transplant management. Training occurs at a leading transplant institute with rotations in immunogenetics, transplant nephropathology and involvement in multi‑organ transplantation (heart, lung, liver). Fellows participate in transplant candidate evaluation and management of complex recipients, gaining comprehensive clinical and research experience.

Responsibilities

• Develop expertise in managing kidney transplant patients (candidate/donor selection, perioperative care, post‑transplant management).
• Complete rotations in immunogenetics and transplant nephropathology at a leading transplant institute.
• Gain involvement in multi‑organ transplantation such as heart, lung, and liver.
• Participate in transplant candidate evaluation.
• Manage complex transplant recipients.
• Acquire comprehensive clinical and research experience.

Requirements

• Completion of a U.S.-based internal medicine residency.
• Completion of a nephrology fellowship.
• Demonstrated exceptional academic and clinical performance.
• Show enthusiasm and dedication to transplant nephrology.
• Eligibility for visa sponsorship (program supports visa candidates).
• Strong scientific potential valued by the program.
• Submit a CV, two recommendation letters (one from the Nephrology Program Director or Chief), and a personal statement outlining career goals and motivation.
