Fellow Cognitive Neurology and Movement Disorders 2027
About the role
This role is a 12-month part-time appointment in 2027 as a combined Cognitive Neurology and Movement Disorder Fellow.
Responsibilities
- Attending the Cognitive Neurology clinic once a week, seeing both new and review patients, discussing them at a weekly multi-disciplinary meeting, seeing in-patient referrals, and participating as a sub-investigator in commercially sponsored Dementia trials.
- Attendance at Movement disorders clinics, learning in-patient management, botulinum toxin treatment strategies and skills, DBS and other advanced therapies for Parkinson's disease, and participation in commercial clinical trials and assistance in Investigator lead studies, as well as involvement in the HREC process and independent research activities supervised by the Movement Disorders unit.
Requirements
Candidates must be suitably qualified medical officers.
Qualifications
The successful candidate should have completed their medical degree and be eligible for registration with the Medical Board of Australia.
Skills
Strong clinical skills, ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team, and proficiency in neurological and movement disorder management are essential.
