About the Job

The Management of Technology Fellow (MOT Fellow) is an academic leadership position for the Master of Science in Management of Technology (MS-MOT) program in the Technological Leadership Institute. This role is responsible for ensuring academic quality and effectiveness, with duties that include curriculum review, instructor coordination, student advising, recruiting, and admissions. As part of the TLI team, the MOT Fellow cultivates connections and opportunities for collaboration with a wide range of internal and external stakeholders. The Fellow may also participate in additional initiatives such as strategic planning and outreach. The successful candidate will hold a concurrent position in industry and have significant leadership experience in their field. Prior experience teaching academic courses in a higher education setting is also required. The MOT Fellow is expected to remain proficient in the field through professional activities and contribute to the overall success of the program.

About The Department

The Technological Leadership Institute (TLI) is an interdisciplinary center at the University of Minnesota established in 1987 by an endowment from the Honeywell Foundation. The Institute is part of the College of Science and Engineering, which is ranked among the top engineering and science schools in the country. TLI is committed to lifelong learning, offering graduate degree programs, graduate certificates, undergraduate experiences, and continuing education opportunities that bridge the gap between business and technology.

Pay And Benefits

Pay Range: $40,000.00 per year depending on education/qualifications/experience. Retirement plan options are available for Civil Service, Faculty, Labor-Represented, Professional & Administrative, and Temp Casual classifications. Learn more about retirement plans.
