About the Role

Pepin Distributing Company is partnering with the Future Career Academy and Workforce Development Partners to provide Hillsborough County students with the first step in their careers. They are seeking graduates to join their team as a CDL Driver Trainee, Territory Merchandiser, or a Warehouse Order Selector.

Work Schedule

Full-time positions with variable schedules; part-time opportunities available
Starting Pay: $35,000+ (plus benefits, 401k, and free giveaways throughout the year)

Training

Free, paid, on-site training provided for every position.

Positions Overview

• Driver Trainee: Gain industry knowledge with deliveries, obtain CDL-A, assist drivers, unload, stock, rotate products, interact with customers.
• Territory Merchandiser: Develop career in beverage industry, build displays, P.O.S. placements, manage space, price products, pull-up and rotate product per Company Policy, part-time and weekend opportunities.
• Warehouse Order Selector: Build out orders for next day delivery, work on electric pallet jacks and forklifts, earn uncapped commission structure, work on an uncapped commission structure.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• One (1) year of general work experience preferred.
• Prior grocery store and/or consumer products experience a strong plus.
• Daily, in person travel within the service territories of Pepin is required.
• Excellent communication, organizational and assertive skills.
• Able to perform physically demanding work, to include frequent lifting of cases 25-40 pounds, and the frequent lifting and handling of kegs that weigh up to 200 pounds.

• Able to work within regulatory guidelines.
• Must have a smart phone with a camera and data capability.
• Must hold a valid US Driver’s license.

Physical Requirements

Talk, hear, and see (including close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus)
Continuous standing and walking, up to 8 hours at a time
Continuous lifting/carrying/pushing/pulling 25-200 lbs.
Ability to operate a two or four-wheel dolly.
Frequent climbing, pushing, pulling, and maneuvering dolly, hand truck, bay roll up doors, straps, curb ramps, truck doors, boxes, cases, kegs, truck gear shift.
Must be able to pass a preemployment DOT Physical and Drug Screen
