Feed Mill Tech

Key Responsibilities

• Mixing and loading poultry feed for delivery to multiple farm locations
• Apply knowledge of SQF and Safe Food/Safe Feed practices during all mill activities
• Receiving and maintenance of ingredient inventories
• Preventative maintenance and repair of mill and related equipment
• Maintain a clean safe Mill environment
• Provide back-up support to Mill Manager as required

Qualifications

• Education And/or Experience: High school diploma or equivalent. Agricultural experience is preferred. Prior experience in a feed mill is preferred. Training in preventative maintenance programs, mechanical and electrical systems desirable.
• Skills: Good communication skills with a teamwork attitude are essential. Self-motivation with a drive for safe quality feed is required. Computer skills, Word, Excel required. Mathematical ability is required. Knowledge of production agriculture desirable.

Physical Demands

• Frequently exposed to moving mechanical parts and airborne particles.
• Frequent exposure to high places.
• Occasionally exposed to loud noises requiring the use of hearing protection.
