Responsibilities

• Provide technical support and assistance to faculty, staff and students in the School of Information Technology
• Responsible for the installation and maintenance of lab computers, including inventory and organization of equipment
• Provide assistance in setting up computers, and support of computer hardware and software in the School of IT Lab
• Provide assistance for personal computer and network setup, configuration, testing, installation, troubleshooting, and support
• Provide assistance with classroom resources and devices
• Assist in special project completion and IT competitions
• Provides support to School of IT student clubs and groups
• Peer tutoring of School of IT students
• Be willing and able to work independently sometimes
• Answer department phones promptly in a professional manner and greet in-person students/visitors

Qualifications

To qualify for our Federal Work Study Program, students must:

• Be authorized to work in the United States
• Have a high school diploma or GED
• Be enrolled in at least 6 credit hours each semester
• Be making Satisfactory Academic Progress as determined by the Financial Aid Office
• Have a current and completed FAFSA on file
• Demonstrate financial need
