Federal Work Study - Iron Mountain Campus Computer Lab Assistant 2026-2027

Position Details

The purpose of the Federal Work-Study Program is to give a student an opportunity to develop skills, gain on-the-job experience for future employment, and give the student flexibility to work around class schedules.

Minimum Qualifications

• Must be a Bay College student in the work study program to be considered for this position.
• Eligibility for work-study is determined after you file the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA).
• Work-study requires that you are degree seeking and enrolled in a minimum of one credit that applies towards the semester you are employed.
• You must maintain Satisfactory Academic Progress.

Job Duties

• Answer Help Desk telephone and assist students and employees with technical issues.
• Reset passwords.
• Absorb users with setting up email on personal devices.
• Absorb users with accessing the Bay College Wi-Fi Network.
• Support for classroom technology including video conferencing.
• Work within the Request Ticket system to solve user problems.
• Other duties as assigned by Helpdesk Coordinator.
• Absorb in installation and troubleshooting of PC software and hardware across the campus.
• Absorb in repair and setup of workstations.
• Absorb in cabling of the network and troubleshooting the network.
• Absorb in server maintenance tasks for Network admins.
