Responsibilities
- Aid customers via phone and in person with HR-related issues.
- Perform general office tasks such as word processing, filing, mailing, and copying.
- Process changes to employee records.
- Assist with special projects.
- Keep accurate records and ensure accurate data entry.
- Perform multiple tasks simultaneously while maintaining accuracy.
- Make routine decisions based on specific criteria/guidelines.
- Work well under pressure and adapt to change.
- Work with diverse populations and those with special limitations or needs.
Requirements
- Working knowledge of correct English grammar, spelling, and punctuation.
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office.
- Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing.
- Ability to work cooperatively with others or independently.
- Positive customer service skills.
- Judgment and discretion in handling confidential personnel matters.
- Highly organized, attentive to details, and good planning skills.
- Ability to work with minimal supervision.
- Flexibility and adaptability to changing situations.

Qualifications
- According to the Federal Student Aid Handbook, students are generally not allowed to work in work-study positions during scheduled class times. Exceptions can be made if a class is cancelled.

Benefits
Grant-funded position with competitive pay rate of $15 per hour, non-exempt status, and benefits including professional challenges, excellent benefits, and opportunities for recognition and camaraderie.
Pay
The rate of pay for this position is $15 per hour.
Schedule
The work schedule is from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, Monday through Friday.
Physical Demands
Sedentary work (up to 10 lbs occasionally, sitting most of the time).
Work Environment
Quiet conditions.
