About the role

The opportunity involves joining a growing global team, interacting with a broad range of clients and colleagues, and participating in cross-border and cross-functional teaming. As a Manager in Tax Compliance, you will manage and implement tax compliance strategies, provide support in tax compliance and reporting, and lead the development of governance, risk, and compliance frameworks.

Responsibilities

  • Manage and deliver processes, solutions, or projects with a strong focus on quality and risk management
  • Drive continuous process improvement and identify innovative solutions for clients through domestic federal tax advice and guidance tailored to their unique needs
  • Guide others by applying depth of expertise and interpreting internal/external issues to recommend quality solutions
  • Meet performance objectives and metrics set locally, including client service, quality and risk management, sales and business growth, solution development, and teaming

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree required (4-year degree) in Accounting or a graduate degree in Tax or Law
  • No less than 4 - 6 years relevant experience of related tax experience
  • CPA certification or licensed attorney status
  • Demonstrated expertise in tax compliance and accounting for income tax reporting requirements
  • Strong awareness of finance compliance and regulation
  • Understanding of global compliance requirements
  • Ability to assess tax legislation and its impact
  • Familiarity with outsourcing/co-sourcing models
  • Proficiency in data analysis and interpretation
  • Understanding of US income tax accounting and tax provisions
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Access and data mining tools
  • Ability to build and manage relationships
  • Demonstrated client trust and value
  • Strong communication skills
  • Complex problem-solving and critical thinking abilities
  • Ability to drive outcomes and demonstrate learning agility
  • Commercial astuteness and leading teams
  • Experience managing change
  • Applies sector knowledge and has a global mindset
  • Willingness to travel as needed, and working in a balanced hybrid environment

Pay

  • Base salary range for this job in all geographic locations in the US is $103,600 to $189,900
  • Base salary range for New York City Metro Area, Washington State and California (excluding Sacramento) is $124,300 to $215,800

Schedule

  • Hybrid model with most people in external, client serving roles expected to work together in person 60% of the time over the course of an engagement, project or year
