Federal Records Manager
Duties
- Develops office policies and procedures for managing records, as well as creating and maintaining a filing system of classified and unclassified records.
- Oversees and continuously improves an electronic document system that meets DOE records management requirements.
- Maintains filing systems that allow for the easy retrieval of records when needed.
- Coordinates with IT staff to create or improve upon electronic records systems that can be easily accessed by authorized personnel.
- Digitizes records.
- Manages and keeps up to date with the organization's essential records plan as part of the Agency's Continuity of Operations (COOP) plan.
- Ensures the Records Inventory and Disposition Schedule (RIDS) meets Departmental records management requirements and is kept up to date and followed.
Requirements
- Active Top Secret security clearance or DOE Q security clearance.
- One (1) year of Federal records management experience.
- Detailed knowledge of the Federal records management program along with its associated orders, regulations, and RIDS.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited university or college in a field such as library science, business administration, public administration, management, or another closely related field with a concentration in records management.
