Federal Project Manager
About the role
The Federal Project Manager at QTS Data Centers is responsible for executing critical projects within QTS Federal. Projects fall into two main categories: implementation and process development. In implementation projects, the Federal Project Manager guides customers, partners, and QTS Federal stakeholders through a complex implementation process while serving as the primary point of contact for customer project leadership. In process development projects, the Federal Project Manager supports QTS Federal Leadership in refining delivery models for QTS Federal products and services.
Responsibilities
- Manage and maintain excellent customer relationships.
- Create and maintain project plans: outlining tasks, milestone dates, and allocation of resources.
- Understand the operating models of key QTS and QTS Federal stakeholder organizations to promote effective communication.
- Coordinate data center deployment projects from kickoff to completion.
- Provide timely and accurate status updates to all customer, partner, and QTS Federal stakeholders throughout the project lifecycle.
- Own and manage customer project escalations through to resolution, and ensure expectations are clearly set with customer and QTS teams.
- Support QTS Federal Leadership in process improvement and process development projects as the company experiences rapid growth.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent professional experience.
- 5+ years technical project management or service delivery management experience.
- Experience presenting technical information to executives.
- Experience working on projects within construction, development, or infrastructure environments, or demonstrated familiarity with construction processes and stakeholders.
- Experience with Microsoft Office suite, specifically PowerPoint, Excel, and Project.
Preferred Qualifications
- 10+ years technical project management or service delivery management experience.
- PMP certification or equivalent.
- Active TS security clearance with eligibility for additional accesses as needed.

Compensation
This role is eligible for a competitive benefits package that includes: medical, dental, vision, life, and disability insurance; 401(k) retirement plan; flexible spending savings account; paid holidays; paid time off; employee assistance program; and other company benefits. The estimated pay range for this role, if based in Colorado, is $115,209.54 - 176,186.11. The successful candidate’s starting salary will be determined based on permissible, non-discriminatory factors such as skills, experience, and geographic location.
