Federal Material Manager
About The Team
Anduril North Carolina is seeking a Federal/Capital Material Manager to support the Anduril Composites branch. The role involves creating a strategic plan for material management, ensuring compliance with FAR and DFAR, and maintaining systems/processes for production.
What You’ll Do
- Work with support teams to implement material management strategies, policies, and procedures to comply with FAR and DFARS.
- Create processes to increase efficiency and effectiveness in material management.
- Implement necessary systems for material and inventory management.
- Implement end-to-end material management measures, including FIFO adherence, material variances, cycle time optimization, scrap/obsolescence management, cycle/physical counting, and audits.
- Analyze material usage trends, identify opportunities for process improvements, and implement lean practices to optimize material handling, storage, and distribution.
- Utilize ERP & WMS software systems and tools to track inventory, generate reports, and provide data-driven insights to support decision-making and optimize material-related processes.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, safety standards, and quality control protocols in all material management activities.
- Lead and develop a high-performing warehouse team, providing guidance, training, and performance feedback to foster a culture of excellence and continuous improvement.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in supply chain management, logistics, business administration, or equivalent work experience.
- 5+ years of experience in material management, inventory control, or supply chain management roles in an aerospace and/or defense manufacturing environment.
- Eligible to obtain and maintain a U.S. TS clearance.
Preferred Qualifications
- Strong leadership abilities with the capacity to develop a team and systems/procedures effectively.
- Strong knowledge of AS9100 standards as well as knowledge of MMAS Systems, Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR) Part 52.245-1 and Defense Federal Acquisition Regulation Supplement (DFARS) Part 245.
- A proven ability to implement and maintain compliance systems.
- Experience supporting compliance audits, including internal assessments and external reviews (e.g., DCMA and DCAA).
- Strong understanding of production rate, critical path analysis, and key warehouse fundamentals.
- Proficient with computer use (standard browser, word processing applications) and ability to present data.
- Reliable, organized and detail-oriented with excellent verbal & written communication skills.
- Knowledge of safety and regulatory compliance standards related to material management activities.
