Federal HPC Senior Project Manager
About the role
This role is a Project Management position that applies advanced subject matter knowledge to solve complex issues and is regarded as a subject matter expert for delivering HPC solutions. It frequently contributes to the development of new ideas and methods.
Responsibilities
- Manages customer project delivery.
- Revenue as detailed in Impact section.
- Very large/ complex/ multiple regions or global.
- High/ very high risk.
- High/very high complexity legal and commercial issues.
- Manages project financials including P&L.
- Mets or exceeds SOAR approved budgets.
- Provides reliable financial forecasts to the management.
- Manages business development.
- Identifies and develops new opportunities with clients.
- Supports early qualification and opportunity assessment for large and complex opportunities.
- Acts as opportunity manager for high risk deals.
- Manages client relationships.
- Manages complex multi-function and/or global delivery relationships with senior and executive ("C" level) client management.
- Communicates the direct value our capabilities will provide to our business partners and customers.
- Manages project team.
- Manges internal as well as external resources with a team size greater than 40 people.
- Mentors and encourages skill development of project team members through others.
- Mentors others, providing a role model and support for individual development.
Requirements
The selected candidate must hold U.S. citizenship, U.S. lawful permanent resident/Green Card status or otherwise have a category of refugee/asylee status enabling them to perform the role without requiring a license under the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) or Export Administration Regulations (EAR).
This is a teleworker role with 1 or 2 days weekly travel to the customer site.
Qualifications
- First level university degree.
- Advanced degree preferred.
- 10 years experience in project management or in like roles/businesses.
Skills
- Demonstrates an in-depth knowledge of key operational policies, processes and methodologies applicable to project management.
- Recognized as a leader in the company's PM Professions community.
- PMP Certified.

The expected salary/wage range for this position is provided below. Actual offer may vary from this range based upon geographic location, work experience, education/training, and/or skill level.
- United States of America: Annual Salary USD 119,500 - 275,000 in Maryland & Utah
