Federal Credits and Incentives Tax Intern - Summer 2027

About the role

As a member of our CIM group, working specifically with Federal Credits and Incentives (FCI), you will be responsible for job duties focused around two core concepts: your technical and quality expertise and delivering excellent client service.

Responsibilities

• Assist with tax planning and research, as it relates to the Research and Development (R&D) credit, and other federal credits and incentives
• Assist in implementing multiple projects simultaneously, which include client interviews, computations, analysis, data gathering, and coordination of resources
• Assist with drafting opinion letters and writing other technical memoranda
• Develop an understanding of client's business
• Help drive the success of multiple R&D, or federal credits engagements
• Maintain competency through continuing education and obtaining additional professional certifications

Qualifications

• 90 credit hours completed
• Working towards B.A. / B.S. degree or equivalent from accredited university
• Accounting Major
• Travel to assigned client locations is required. Must have access to and ability to arrange for use of reliable modes of transportation to those locations
• A minimum 3.0 GPA is preferred

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Strong computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Excel
• Ability to work effectively on a team
• Ability to work and multitask in a fast-paced environment

Pay

$34 - $40 per hour
