About the Role

Our client is seeking a Federal Project Manager to join their growing team and oversee the successful execution of federal construction projects throughout the Northeast region. This role offers the opportunity to manage impactful projects while working alongside an experienced leadership team in a company that is actively expanding its geographic footprint.

Responsibilities

  • Manage federal construction projects from preconstruction through closeout.
  • Develop and maintain project schedules, budgets, and documentation.
  • Coordinate and communicate with federal agencies, clients, subcontractors, vendors, and internal project teams.
  • Review and process RFIs, submittals, change orders, and project correspondence.
  • Ensure projects remain compliant with federal regulations, safety requirements, and contract specifications.
  • Monitor project costs, identify risks, and implement proactive solutions to keep projects on schedule and within budget.

Qualifications

  • Previous experience managing or assisting with federal construction projects is required.
  • Experience levels ranging from approximately 1-10 years will be considered, making this opportunity suitable for both emerging and experienced project management professionals.
  • Background as an Assistant Project Manager, Project Manager, Project Engineer, or similar construction management professional.
  • Familiarity with federal project requirements, contracting procedures, and compliance standards is highly preferred.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced construction environment.
  • Must be able to report to the Rahway, NJ office when not traveling to project locations.
