About the Team

In this role, you will join IBM's US Federal team to deliver secure, mission-critical technology solutions for government agencies. You'll work with federal, state, and local clients while developing specialized expertise in government compliance and security standards. This role offers unique career growth in a high-demand sector where your contributions directly impact public services and government missions.

Responsibilities

  • Assist clients in the selection, implementation, and support of application packaged solutions, such as SAP, Oracle, Salesforce, Microsoft Dynamics, Workday, or SharePoint solution suite, to meet client needs.
  • Make strategic recommendations and leverage business knowledge to drive solutions for clients and their management.
  • Run or support workshops, meetings, and stakeholder interviews.
  • Develop process maps to understand As-Is and To-Be scenarios.
  • Use IBM's Design Thinking to help solve clients' challenges.

These positions are anticipated to start between March and August of 2027. Candidates must have the ability to obtain and maintain a Federal security clearance while in IBM Consulting-Federal.

Requirements

  • Outcome-focused with a high level of resilience; demonstrate flexibility and resolve to achieve success across a broad range of consultative contexts.
  • Ability to understand clients’ needs and challenges and apply creative and logical approaches to identify solutions.
  • Openness to assist clients in the design, business architecture, process development, functional implementation, and support of applications.
  • Exceptional quantitative and qualitative analysis skills; ability to derive recommendations informed by data and insights, and experience mapping capabilities.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate and work effectively in a team environment; able to build direct working relationships across all levels of the IBM and client teams.
  • Willingness to travel up to 100%.

Preferred Experience

  • Proven understanding (through academic success or on-the-job experience) of the software development lifecycle, financial business processes, or human resource business processes.
