About the role
Tallahassee State College is seeking FDOT Instructors at the Florida Public Safety Institute to teach tuition-free courses in law enforcement traffic-oriented subjects.
- Traffic Homicide Investigation (Basic, Advanced, Reconstruction)
- Crash Scene Mapping with Speed Lasers
- Speed Measurement Course and Instructor Course
- Breath Test Operator and Instructor
- Agency Inspector Instructor
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Current FDLE General Instructor Certification, Speed Measurement Instructor, or Breath Test Instructor Certifications (FDLE Instructor Exemptions may be made on a case-by-case basis)
- Knowledge of State of Florida Criminal Justice Standards and Training rules and regulations
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Effective interpersonal skills, sound judgement, problem-solving skills, and positive motivational skills
