About the role

FBG Services (FBGS) is the shared services company for Flagg Bicycle Group, supporting its operating businesses, Board of Directors, and select entities connected to the Flagg-Henrickson legacy plan.

The Controller is a key leader within FBGS, responsible for accounting, finance, and tax operations across the holding company and designated operating businesses. This role is part of the senior leadership team and oversees the accounting function. The Controller combines strategic leadership with hands-on execution, preparing and reviewing critical reporting for the Board, shareholders, and family office while managing the work of the accounting team. The Controller works closely with operating business leaders, external audit and tax advisers, Board committee leadership, and designated family-office representatives. The Controller may also support acquisitions, dispositions, and post-close integration as opportunities arise.

Accountability levels define the Controller's ownership across activities:

  • Own / Prepare: The Controller is accountable for the outcome and personally performs or finalizes the work.
  • Oversee / Manage: The Controller is accountable for the outcome; the team or outside providers perform the work under the Controller's direction and review.
  • Coordinate: The Controller runs the process and timeline; others (advisers, operating leaders) are accountable for parts of the output.
  • Support / Partner: The Controller contributes expertise; another leader or body owns the outcome.
