About the role

LanguageLine Solutions is hiring a Bilingual Fataluku-English Phone Interpreter to work remotely from your home. This is an independent contractor position and not eligible for employee benefits.

Responsibilities

• Handle interpreting sessions promptly and professionally.
• Render accurate and concise interpretations between Fataluku and English speakers.
• Adapt to various industries including healthcare, insurance, finance, and law.
• Ensure confidentiality and respect cultural differences during interpreting sessions.
• Provide support and assistance through the Interpreter and Technology Help Desks.
• Work flexible hours to fit your schedule.

Qualifications

• Fataluku and English fluency with cultural understanding.
• Excellent listening, retention, and note-taking skills.
• Cultural competency and ability to handle sensitive topics.
• Education or work experience in language-related fields preferred.
• Ability to adapt to LLS technology enhancements.
• At least 18 years old and legally authorized to work in the U.S.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Ability to read and write both languages highly preferred.
