About the Role

Ready to make a difference? BAE Systems is looking for a Senior Systems Engineer focused on the application of Digital Engineering (DE) to work as part of a cross-functional, multi-disciplinary team building and testing novel RF/EW/Cyber systems. The successful candidate will deliver innovative technical contributions on a range of programs through activities such as system architecting, design, and documentation leveraging digital processes. You will also apply DE domain knowledge to test planning, system integration & test, qualification testing, and test execution in field deployment environments.

This role involves a combination of collaborative/in-person and independent work, taking the form of a hybrid work format with time split between working onsite and remotely.

Responsibilities

  • Architect, design, and document early lifecycle RF/EW/Cyber systems and associated capabilities using DE best practices.
  • Work with multi-disciplinary, cross-functional teams to ensure successful system integration.
  • Own technical products critical for system development success.
  • Participate in product integration and verification.
  • Develop test and verification strategies to minimize program cost and technical risk.
  • Define test and verification methods, events, and constraints for all system requirements.
  • Collaborate with customer and internal program leadership to coordinate, schedule, and ensure readiness for test events.
  • Travel and work at remote sites in support of test events, meetings, and training activities (preferred).

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in a STEM field (or equivalent experience in a relevant field) with a minimum of:
    • 4+ years of work experience with a BS
    • 2+ years of work experience with an MS
    • 0+ years of work experience with a PhD
  • Hold an active TOP SECRET collateral clearance.
  • Experience with RF, Cyber, and EW capability development.
  • Experience with system and system-of-systems architecture development processes.
  • Considerable experience applying Digital Engineering (DE), including Model-Based Systems Engineering tools, to enable system development.

Pay

Full-Time Salary Range: $95,106 – $161,680. Individual salaries are determined by a variety of factors including business considerations, local market conditions, internal equity, and candidate qualifications such as skills, education, and experience.
