Responsibilities

• Develop age-appropriate Fashion, Sewing, Crochet, or Embroidery curriculum for after-school students
• Lead weekly in-person classes with enthusiasm and expertise
• Establish a well-structured and lively classroom that keeps students engaged
• Foster a positive, supportive, and encouraging learning environment for students of varying skill levels
• Build connections with students in a warm and inclusive environment
• Track student growth and offer positive, helpful feedback
• Arrive prepared, on time, and ready to teach
• Create a memorable experience for the children in your class

Requirements

• Subject matter expertise in Fashion, Sewing, Crochet, or Embroidery
• Experience teaching school-age children
• Passion and skill for building hands-on projects with kids
• Excitement, joy, and passion for both teaching kids and personal development/learning
• Ability to create a fun, structured, and inclusive classroom environment
• Ability to bring your own voice and creativity to each class
• Cooperative, supportive, and flexible
• Dependable, proactive, and thrives when given autonomy
• Appreciates support and clear expectations

Pay

Teachers in the Togetherhood network are paid per class, either flat rate or per-student (determined by the partner school). This is contracted, supplemental 1099 work. There is a separate materials budget for teachers to use for classes requiring one.
