Farmers Market Sales & Brand Ambassador
About the role
Love farmers markets, good food, and talking to people? We’re looking for an outgoing, energetic Farmers Market Sales & Brand Ambassador to represent our hot sauce brand at local farmers markets and community events. This is a fun, flexible gig for someone who genuinely enjoys meeting people, trying new products, and making a sale. You’ll be the face of the brand—offering samples, chatting with shoppers, sharing what makes our hot sauce special, and turning curious tasters into happy customers.
Responsibilities
- Attend local farmers markets and community events, primarily on weekends, with occasional weekday opportunities.
- Set up and represent our booth in a friendly, energetic, and professional way.
- Offer hot sauce samples and encourage market-goers to give them a try.
- Approach shoppers, start conversations, and confidently explain the product.
- Actively sell bottles of hot sauce and turn samples into purchases.
- Answer customer questions and create a fun, positive experience.
- Keep the booth and product display clean, organized, and inviting.
- Capture short videos of customers tasting the hot sauce and getting their reactions—with their permission.
- Spot fun, authentic moments that could make great social media content.
- Record usable footage on a phone; no video editing required.
- Provide basic sales and activity information after each market.
Requirements
- Outgoing, friendly, energetic, and naturally social.
- Confident approaching strangers and starting conversations.
- Comfortable with—and genuinely interested in—sales.
- Persuasive without being pushy.
- Enthusiastic about food, farmers markets, and discovering new products.
- Comfortable recording short videos and capturing authentic reactions.
- Social-media savvy and able to recognize a great content moment.
- Reliable, punctual, and responsible.
- Comfortable working independently.
- A college student, young professional, or anyone looking for a flexible weekend gig.
- Most importantly: we’re looking for someone who enjoys people and isn't afraid to make the first move. If you'd rather stand behind a table and wait for customers to approach you, this probably isn't the right gig.
Schedule
Flexible, part-time/casual work. Primarily weekend markets, with occasional weekday opportunities. Shifts are typically just a few hours. Opportunities are offered based on available markets and events rather than a guaranteed weekly schedule.
Pay
Paid hourly.
Benefits
- Get paid to spend time at fun local markets.
- Flexible schedule that works well around school, another job, or other commitments.
- Meet lots of interesting people.
- Work with a fun food brand.
- Build real-world sales and customer-interaction experience.
- Be part of creating social media content.
- No boring desk job required!
