Farm Technician (Orange County)

We’re always accepting applications for Farm and Garden Technicians in Orange County. This position requires fruit and vegetable farming experience in a professional setting.

About the role

On a day-to-day basis, you’ll primarily maintain a small corporate restaurant farm. Each month, you’ll also work on a variety of other projects, including maintaining residential gardens and orchards and assisting with installations. Tasks may include:

• Fertilizing and amending soil
• Treating gardens and orchards for pests and diseases
• Planting seasonal favorites
• Adjusting irrigation
• Pruning fruit trees
• Ensuring each farm and garden is both beautiful and productive

This role is ideal for someone interested in professional growth and stability while contributing to the local and sustainable food movement.

Responsibilities

• Cultivating soil with fertilizers and amendments
• Planting, watering, and harvesting fruits and vegetables
• Pruning and caring for fruit trees
• Identifying and managing pests and diseases
• Weeding and maintaining garden health
• Installing and maintaining irrigation systems
• Composting
• Using farm and garden tools (e.g., shovel, pitchfork, wheelbarrow, sprayer)
• Performing physically demanding tasks outdoors for up to 8 hours per day
• Providing excellent customer service

Requirements

• Professional experience with organic fruit and vegetable farming or gardening
• Experience with irrigation installation and maintenance (preferred)
• Comfort using farm and garden tools
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
• Willingness to work outdoors in physical conditions for extended periods
• Early morning availability
• Valid driver’s license and reliable daily transportation
• Strong customer service skills
• Positive attitude and eagerness to expand knowledge
• Keen observational abilities and attention to detail
• Experience with Gmail, Google Drive, and Google Calendar (beneficial)

Schedule

Monday–Friday. Both full-time and part-time positions are available.
